Over time, skin loses volume, elasticity, and resilience. As collagen production slows, the structure supporting your skin begins to break down. As wrinkles begin to appear, and become more defined, you may feel like you are aging much faster on the outside than on the inside. Dermal fillers are a popular option for improving facial contours and reducing the signs of aging.

Juvéderm, Restylane, and Perlane are similar formulas, all hyaluronic acid based. They are highly effective for treating mild to moderate wrinkles and lines. However, when significant deep creases and folds appear, something stronger may be called for. Radiesse is a thick substance, with long-lasting results, used for deep-tissue volumizing.
Radiesse is made of synthetic calcium hydroxylapatite, which is highly biocompatible, suspended in a thick gel base. It provides an instant “lift” and holds its shape well. The microspheres in Radiesse also provide a structure for natural tissues, stimulating the production of collagen. The results can last up to a year, sometimes even longer!

I was very impressed with my first appointment with Dr. Neal! I’ve never seen a Dermatologist so I didn’t know what to expect. I arrived a few minutes early and was seen right away! He was very professional and knowledgeable about my concerns. He also took the time to answer all of my questions.Radiesse Arlington – right quotation mark His Assistants were very nice as well!
Due to its thick texture, Radiesse is not appropriate for delicate areas such as the lips, or for filling fine line and superficial wrinkles. It is a deep dermal filler, which is especially effective for nasolabial folds. The procedure is comfortable, and usually completed in about 30 minutes. If you wish, we offer local anesthetic to ensure your comfort. There may be slight redness or swelling at the injection site. If this occurs, it should fade within one day.
Radiesse is often used in conjunction with other fillers to achieve ideal results. It is resilient enough to fill severe wrinkles and deep folds where thin fillers may not keep their shape well. Perlane can be used for many of the same applications; your doctor will recommend the best option. For fine lines, mild wrinkles, and precision contouring, Juvéderm or Restylane will probably be recommended. Additionally, some wrinkles are not caused by lost volume, but contracted muscles. Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin are used to treat muscle-related lines and wrinkles.
